Project Overview
I worked on the development of a React Native application using Expo for Encircle, a prominent Utah-based LGBT+ non-profit resource. The comprehensive app catered to the diverse needs of the LGBT+ community by providing features such as location selection, a dynamic calendar showcasing events based on user-selected locations, popular resources for reading and sharing, an online shop, and a user-friendly donations page. The project aimed to amplify Encircle's mission of offering resources, therapy, groups, and housing for LGBT+ youth.
Tech Overview
The React Native application for Encircle was crafted using Expo, ensuring a smooth development experience. Leveraging XCode and Android Simulator for cross-platform compatibility, the app brought together features like location services, an interactive calendar powered by Expo, and integration with the Shopify API for the online shop. This project reflects my proficiency in mobile app development, combining technology stacks to deliver a feature-rich application in support of Encircle's invaluable services for the LGBT+ community.
